Gardaí investigate two weekend break-ins

GARDAÍ are seeking the assistance of the public in investigating two break-ins to shops in the county over the weekend.
The first burglary occurred between 4.30am and 8am on Friday morning when intruders broke into Heneghan’s shop in Belcarra. The intruders forced their way into the shop by breaking the rear window. A small sum of cash of cash was taken, along with some cigarettes. Gardaí are anxious to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious during that time in Belcarra.
The second incident occurred when burglars broke into O’Grady’s shop on Bridge Street, Westport between 3pm on Sunday afternoon and 9am yesterday (Monday) morning. The intruders forced open the back window and stole a sum of cash.
