A young Knockmore man miraculously escaped injury after falling from a 60 foot high balcony in Spain.

MALLORCA
A YOUNG Mayo man had a miraculous escape on the island of Mallorca in Spain last week, when he accidentally fell down an embankment and had his fall broken by a bush some fifteen feet below. Brian Langan from Knockmore would have plummeted a considerable distance further to a concrete courtyard had the bush not held him up until emergency service personnel could secure him and lower him to the ground. Members of the local police force along with Guardia Civil officers, fire service personnel and paramedics reached Mr Langan shortly after his fall and he came through the ordeal with relatively minor injuries. He is now safely back in north Mayo.
