A man in his mid 20s has died as a result of an accident in a quarry in Kilkelly

A young man has died as a result of an accident in a quarry in Kilkelly this morning.
The man, in his mid 20s, died after an accident involving a crusher at Harrington’s Quarry in Kilkelly at approximately 10.20am.
Gardaí are preserving the scene and the fire and ambulance services both attended at the scene also.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that the Health and Safety Authority and the local coroner have both been notified.
A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority confirmed they received a report about the accident and were sending an officer to the scene to investigate it.
