Listeners invited to nominate deserving parents in ‘Bucket List’ competition

WRFM Westport Radio presenter Rita Scott has launched a competition like no other for parents of special-needs children in Mayo.
The presenter of The Crypt, which airs on WRFM Westport Radio (98.2 fm) Saturdays from 12 noon to 1pm, launched the competition called ‘The Bucket List’ after looking at the top 50 items that appear on people’s bucket lists – lists of things people would like to do during their lifetime. As a prize, Rita has arranged for the winner of the competition to experience six of them.
The winner of the Westport Radio competition will spend a weekend at Donegal Adventure Centre learning to surf, a half day scuba diving courtesy of Scuba Dive West, followed by a night’s bed and breakfast at the Pillo Hotel Galway with a delicious evening meal.
They will also receive a €200 tattoo voucher and a €50 piercing voucher courtesy of AWOL Galway and a meal for two at the Michelin-starred Aniar Restaurant, Galway.  If that wasn’t enough they will also experience a champagne hot-air-balloon ride in Trim, Co Meath, courtesy of Irish Balloon flights. The winners will also get the opportunity to spend the day on a movie set next summer as Hood Up Films shoot the sequel to the movie ‘Somebody’s There’.
If you know a special needs parent who you would like to start the year off for with an amazing treat, send your nomination with some information about the nominee to ritascott80@gmail.com or The Crypt’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/thecrypt80.
Ten nominees will be put to the public vote on Facebook and Westport Radio listeners will get to decide who wins The Bucket List. Rita would like to sincerely thank all the above sponsors and Cashin Print Castlebar for making this competition possible.
