Lisloughrey Lodge, a four-star hotel in Cong, is the latest flagship hotel to go up for sale in the Mayo property market.
The hotel is being offered for sale by private treaty with a guide price of €2.5 million, with Savills Hotels and Leisure appointed as sole selling agents.
Savills recently completed the sale of the Atlantic Coast Hotel in Westport and are also offering Breaffy House Resort in their portfolio of Mayo hotels currently for sale.
Dating back to 1865, Lisloughrey Lodge was originally built for the Estate Manager of Ashford Castle. Today, the original lodge contains the Quay Bar, Wilde’s at the Lodge Restaurant and the Piano Gallery room. It is linked through a courtyard to the hotel’s 50 bedrooms (including 26 suites). The hotel also offers excellent function facilities, including; The Harbour Room, which can divide into two separate rooms depending on size requirements and can cater for up to 180 banquet style.
The Library and the Boardroom are available for smaller events. Given the hotel’s range of function facilities and fabulous views over Lough Corrib it is a very popular and idyllic wedding location. The hotel also benefits from a fitness centre and outdoor hot tub.
Overlooking Lisloughrey Quay with spectacular views of Lough Corrib, Lisloughrey Lodge is located on the northern shores of Lough Corrib in the village of Cong in south Mayo. It is located at the border of Connemara, one of the most stunning locations in Ireland, and is less than one hour’s drive from Galway (44 km), an hour from Knock Airport (65 km).
