A Hollymount family is inviting the local community to take part in a 5K Fun Run / Walk in aid of Féileacáin, Ireland’s National Baby Loss Charity, on Saturday, May 30 at 11 am.

Maria and Kevin Feerick are organising the event in memory of their baby, Jane, who they lost in August 2025 at 17 weeks and 5 days.

Following their loss, the family received support from Féileacáin, including counselling, a memory box, keepsakes and ongoing emotional support.

“Féileacáin have been an invaluable support to us since we lost Baby Jane last August,” said Maria. “It’s important that people know that there is help there if you find yourself in this position.”

The fundraiser aims to raise awareness and vital funds for the charity, which relies heavily on donations to continue supporting bereaved families across Ireland.

The event will take place in Hollymount, Mayo, with an entry cost of €15 for adults and €5 for under 18’s.
