Three Mayo Ladies players have seen their exemplary performances across the duration of the National League rewarded with inclusion in the Lidl Team of the League.
Laura Brennan, Aoife Geraghty, and Sinéad Walsh were all included in the star-studded collection for their displays in all seven games, as the Green and Red came close to promotion to Division One at the first attempt.
Hollymount net-minder Brennan put in consistently stellar showings, marshalling the second-best defence in the Division and only conceding four goals and keeping a clean sheet on three occasions.
Westport's finest, Aoife Geraghty, secured a spot in midfield. She was the beating heart of Diane O'Hora's troops, simultaneously tagging on scores and dictating the rhythm of the Green and Red.
Last, but certainly not least, was the MacHale Rovers star forward Sinéad Walsh. As always, her side looked to her for attacking inspiration, and as always, she duly delivered with some stupendous scoring, including Mayo's first-ever two-pointer.
The three Green and Red representatives were joined by six Donegal players, five Cavan women, and one Tyrone player.
