THE managerial merry-go-round in Mayo club football continues tonight after Ballycroy announced that Gerry McNulty has stepped away from his role as team manager after three years in charge. The Burrishoole native has enjoyed a particularly impressive period in charge of the Erris men and leaves the team in a very positive position.
In a statement released by Ballycroy GAA this evening they thanked McNulty for the time spent with them.
"We would like to thank Gerry McNulty who has stepped down as manager of our men’s junior team after three years as manager. Gerry came to Ballycroy firstly as a coach in 2022, and for the past three seasons as manager.
"He handed many young players their debuts, and had an influence in several players returning to play football for the club after many years away. This season under Gerry’s management the team bridged a 38 year gap in reaching the knockout stages of the Mayo junior A championship. We thank Gerry for all his hard work, and wish he and his family nothing but the very best going forward."
