This evening (Wednesday, November 26), there will be plenty of Mayo influence in the battle for early-season silverware, as the Higher Education GAA Senior One Football League final takes place in Limerick.

Maguire's Pitches in UL will be the scene of battle as University of Galway and University of Limerick duke it out for bragging rights with the Sigerson Cup just around the corner.

Tom O’Flaherty (Aghamore), Dara Hurley (Claremorris), and John MacMonagle (Castlebar Mitchels) are on the Galway side, managed by ex-Mayo star Maurice Sheridan.

Frank Irwin (Ballina Stephenites), Cian and Colm McHale (both Moy Davitts), Conal Dawson (Westport), Sean Morahan (Castlebar Mitchels), Hugh O'Loughlin (Kilmaine), Dylan O'Brien and Jack Melvin (both Davitts) and Senan Guilfoyle (Eastern Gaels) are all on the UL panel.

Cathal Keaveney (Parke-KC) and Eoin McGreal (Garrymore) miss out through injury for UL.

The game can be watched live below, with throw-in at 7.30 pm.
