Mayo GAA have started the hunt for a new Chief Executive Officer as they aim to kick-start a period of transformation and growth in the county.

The new CEO will play a central role in driving sustainable commercial development, strengthening governance structures, and enhancing support for clubs, volunteers, players, and stakeholders throughout the county.

The position carries a four-year contract, a competitive salary based on experience, and performance-linked incentives.

Applicants must have at least five years of senior leadership experience in a similar role.

Candidates are also expected to demonstrate a strong record in commercial growth, sponsorship or fundraising, possess governance and risk-management expertise, and excel in communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational leadership.

The recruitment process will be overseen by Mayo GAA’s Strategic Leadership Committee, and shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview and asked to present a strategic 'Mayo Vision'.

The deadline for applications is Saturday, December 20, and applications can be made via e-mail to secretary.mayo@gaa.ie.
