With the clock ticking ever closer to 2026 and the Diane O'Hora era for the Mayo Ladies, the picture has started to come into focus with the release of the fixtures for the National League season.
This campaign will be a critical one for new bainisteoir O'Hora as she aims to earn promotion back to the top tier as well as trialling her systems and tactics in a competitive setting.
The Green and Red will first face a trip to the Breffni County to take on Cavan. Mayo minds will have fond memories of Tara Needham's last-ditch point in Cavan in 2022 to secure a spot in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
That league opener will take place on Sunday, January 25.
The regular season will conclude with the visit of Monaghan on Sunday, March 29. There was similar drama against Ulster opposition the last time these two sides locked horns in Championship fare, with Shauna Howley handing Mayo the win in a dramatic free-kick shootout.
The final for the top two-placed teams is pencilled in for Parnell Park in Dublin on Saturday, April 11.
The full list is as follows:
Cavan v Mayo: Sunday, January 25
Mayo v Wexford: Sunday, February 1
Mayo v Tipperary: Sunday, February 8
Tyrone v Mayo: Sunday, February 22
Mayo v Donegal: Sunday, March 1
Westmeath v Mayo: Sunday, March 22
Mayo v Monaghan: Sunday, March 29
