The Mayo News understands that there will be an unexpected change to the line-up for tomorrow's replayed Mayo Senior Final. A niggling injury has forced referee James Regan to step back from the role. The Hollymount Carramore whistler is one of the top referees in the province and he was a very popular choice when assigned to take charge of the second meeting of Ballina Stephenites and Westport.
The Mayo News understands that Regan picked up a leg injury recently and had not recovered sufficiently to referee Saturday's big game. It's expected that he will be replaced by his clubmate, Kevin Connelly.
