Road to the final: How did Moy Davitts get to the intermediate final?

Mayo intermediate football championship: Semi-final

Moy Davitts 1-20

Ardnaree 0-11

In Ballina

Paul McGarry's men ran hot in the second half on a cool and crisp afternoon.

It was a game of two halves, as Ardnaree impressed in the opening period. But the Moysiders rose to the occasion in the second half.

They outscored their opponents by 12 points after half-time.

Cian McHale was the main man, as the impressive forward kicked some outstanding scores, 0-9 in total, and was also crucial in many other attacks.

Ardnaree came into this as outsiders, showing fighting spirit around the middle but ultimately struggled up front and the Moy Davitts defence deserves huge credit for their sheer manner they swarmed their opponents.

Again, Brian Reape raised a green flag, contributing 1-2. He is consistently showing that he is one of the most lethal forwards in the intermediate championship.

Moy Davitts are right there where many would have expected them at the start of the campaign. But they are facing an equally powerful Kilmeena team.
