Mayo Intermediate Championship: Semi-final
Kilmeena 2-20
Kiltane 4-6
In Knockmore
The Mayo News picked the headline 'Mighty Moore secures final place'.
Liam Moore racked up an impressive tally of 1-8 and was the best player on the pitch. His exceptional ability to find room in attack and kick superbly was the glaring difference of the two sides.
Kilmeena were in good form the first whistle to last and their display in the third quarter was stunning at times.
At some stage in the second half, the men in white were leading by eleven points. John McGlynn also had a stellar outing as he pointed 1-5.
Damien Egan's troops were deserving winners.
A huge positive boost was the return of ace attacker Caolach Halligan, who had been out for a few weeks. His return was very timely with the intermediate county final on the horizon.
Kilmeena face Moy Davitts this Sunday, in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park at 2pm.
