Rivalries are set to be rekindled in the Mayo Intermediate Championship this weekend, as Kilmeena and Moy Davitts make their way to MacHale Park in pursuit of ultimate glory.
Both clubs will renew acquaintances in a repeat of the 2023 semi-final, with the Moysiders looking to reverse their fate on that particular occasion.
The rivalries in the buildup haven't just been confined to the playing field, though, and have spilled over into the hallways of Rice College in Westport.
Today, Kilmeena players Louie Corcoran, Dean Staunton, Aaron Murray, and Cormac O'Malley came face to face with the red and white of Moy Davitts earlier than they expected when they bumped into teacher and fervent Moy Davitts clubman Brendan Clarke.
Mr Clarke, who teaches maths, is the uncle of Ronan and Jamie Clarke, who will line out for Moy Davitts on Sunday.
Time will tell who will have the bragging rights by the time they bump into each other on Monday morning!
