Paul McGarry vs Damien Egan
Both managers are in charge of their respective clubs for the first season, but it’s clear to see that the two men in charge have had an instant impact as silverware will be up for grabs on Sunday.
Moy Davitts’ manager McGarry knows Kilmeena well, considering his Cill Chomáin side and Mayo Gaels team locked horns with the men from the shores of Clew Bay in recent seasons.
Egan, a native of Bonniconlon, is well regarded in Mayo football circles, and his calm figure has brought a freshness to Kilmeena, having had John Reilly in charge for a seven-year period, which was a hugely successful one.
The battle on the pitch will be fascinating, but on the sideline will also be similar, with two experienced men looking to reach the summit and bring glory to their respective sides.
