Ballina Stephenites have qualified for yet another final on the back of impressive performances
The Mayo GAA senior football final this year will include very familiar faces.
Since 2022 Ballina Stephenites have been in every county decider. This year marks their fourth successive appearance.
And spicy enough, this year's opponents Westport beat the North Mayo men in the 2022 final. Talk about having scores to settle!
Niall Heffernan's troops are going for a historic three-in-a-row, which is rare enough in the Mayo senior championship.
The last ones to do it were Castlebar Mitchels, from 2015-17. And one would have to scroll way down the roll of honour to the 1970s for the next example when Garrymore were the kings of Mayo from 1974-76.
It's safe to say: It would be a huge achievement, if Ballina can pull this off.
BUT how did Ballina Stephenites get to the 2025 Mayo Senior Football Championship final?
