Mayo's Club Championship queens will have barely take a breath this morning when some minds will inevitably turn to their quests for Connacht domination.
Swinford-Killasser and Claremorris danced wildly on the MacHale Park turf yesterday after they scaled the peak and captured the junior and intermediate titles, but now they will turn their thoughts to the next challenge.
Once the dust settles they'll be back in training as they go off in hot pursuit of even more history in Connacht. All knock-out games in the provincial championships are set for 1pm.
First out flying the county flag will be Swinford-Killasser. The winners of the Leitrim junior final between Annaduff and Keeldra Gaels on Saturday at 12.30pm will make the trip south to take on Mayo's finest.
That Connacht quarter-final will throw in on Saturday, October 18, with the winners earning a spot in an away semi-final against the Roscommon champions the following week. The Roscommon final between Northern Harps and Saint Mary's takes place on Saturday.
Intermediate champions Claremorris will also be out against opposition from Leitrim. Johnny Cummins and his charges will be able to get a good look at their opponents when Drumkeeran and Dromahiar clash in the Leitrim decider at 8pm in Kiltubrid on Friday. Claremorris will head to Leitrim to take on the winners of that tie on Sunday, October 19.
The victors in that quarter-final will lock horns with the Galway champions Tuam Cortoon or Caltra Cuans - on the road on Sunday, October 26.
Lastly, whoever comes out of this Sunday's senior decider between Westport and Knockmore will have three weeks to prepare for the visit of the Galway champions - Kilkerrin-Clonbeirne or Claregalway. That semi-final will take place on Sunday, November 2.
