Castlebar Mitchels Hurling and Camogie club are hosting a Gold Am Am in Castlebar Golf Club

A Mayo hurling and camogie club is gearing up to test their skills with the small ball in a whole other way, as they prepare to tee off at a golf event to raise vital funds.

Castlebar Mitchels hurling and camogie club will be hitting the fairways at Castlebar Golf Club on Friday, September 19, for their Golf Am Am fundraiser, with excitement building for the event.

The event is billed as a huge fundraiser to help raise vital money for the running of the club. Organisers will be using all money raised to go towards essential equipment.

Those packing up their drivers and putters are looking forward to an excellent day of entertainment, with it being a great social opportunity and a chance to hone their skills.

There is still plenty of time for anyone wishing to come along to enter a team or to sponsor a green or tee. Entering a team of four costs €120, with the cost of sponsoring a tee box or green set at €50.
