Mayo GAA have today announced a fixture change in regard to one Mayo Senior Club Championship Quarter Final.
When the next stage of fixtures were confirmed on Monday morning, it was announced that Knockmore will host Ballintubber at 12 midday on Sunday, September 21.
Today, Mayo GAA have confirmed that the meeting of two of Mayo’s Championship contenders has been changed to 12.30.
As a result of this change, many supporters have been faced with a possible challenge. Originally, the game in St Joseph’s Park was due to be played at 12.00, and the meeting of Crossmolina and Belmullet was due to start at 2 pm.
Now, it is next to impossible to attend both games in full leaving many neutral matchgoers frustrated.
The reasoning behind this decision is due to the meeting of a Ladies Semi Final. Knockmore Ladies are guaranteed to have a home game in the Ladies Championship, with the clash set to throw in at 10:30 am on Sunday, September 21.
