The battle for glory in the Mayo LGFA Intermediate Championship is galloping towards a tantalising climax, as clubs look ahead to the final game week of club action.

Here, we'll run you through just what every team needs to do in order to keep their dreams of playing Senior football in 2026, or avoid being within an hour of junior fare next season.

The rulebook states the following:

In the event of two sides finishing level on points, the head-to-head will determine who finishes higher in the table. Then, it goes to the highest number of points (ie, scores over the bar), then score difference (walkovers are not deemed to have an impact on score difference), then the lowest number of scores conceded.

In the event that three or more sides finish level, the score difference will determine who finishes higher in the table. Then, it goes to the highest number of points (ie, scores over the bar), then the highest total score (goals and points). Should two sides be level at that point, then the head-to-head will come into play. If those two sides have drawn, then the team in the higher postition will be the side who have conceded the fewest goals.
