The search for a Mayo U-20 football manager is almost at an end.
Peadar Gardiner stepped away from the role when the Green and Red were defeated by Louth in last season's All-Ireland semi-final in May. The search to find his successor has been ongoing for the past few weeks with club's proposing candidates and interviews then taking place.

That process will come to an end shortly, with the final interviews taking place early next week. Mayo GAA's Coiste Bainistí (Executive) will then convene and the name of a preferred candidate will be sent forward for ratification to Wednesday night's meeting of the county board in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park.
It's understood that the three candidates are David Brady, John Maughan and Keith Higgins.
