THE final day for nominations of suitable candidates to fill the role of Mayo U-17 football manager is upon us.
Tom Reilly and David Heaney stepped away from their successful two-year stint in charge after the Green and Red were defeated by Kerry a well-contested All-Ireland semi-final in Ennis earlier this year and now the hunt is on for their replacement.

The search began in earnest some weeks ago when Mayo GAA asked clubs to put forward suitable candidates and the first step of that process will conclude this evening when nominations close.
The County Board will then put a group in place to conduct interviews of the candidates and it's expected there will be a new management team in place within weeks.
