It looks set to be a season of fresh faces across the board in Mayo LGFA, as the County Board have announced that they are seeking applications for the roles of Under-14, Under-16, and minor managers.

Mayo LGFA has already filled the role of senior manager after Diane O’Hora's appointment; however, now they are set to start the process all over again, with three roles to be filled for 2026.

The first one is the role of minor boss. Brian McLoughlin’s troops had a strong 2025; however suffered heartache at the hands of Galway in the Connacht final.

Both sides could only be separated by a shootout in a tight and tense decider. Burrishoole clubman McLoughlin has now vacated the role following the expiration of his contract.

Another man who has seen his two-year contract expire is Under-16 bainisteoir Francis Regan. His troops made it all the way to the All-Ireland decider, where they were bested by a top-brass Kerry side.

Lastly, there’s the Under-14 job. Tom Carney has stepped away, citing work commitments, and had a solid 2025, narrowly pipped by eventual All-Ireland finalists Galway in the provincial decider.
