He might have started all of Mayo’s league games, but the Ballina man seemed to fall out of favour when the Championship kicked in.
A hugely talented player, Irwin can play in numerous positions, as seen with Mayo when operating between midfield and full-forward.
The young man has been crucial for Ballina’s recent success, and while he often plays in midfield for the Stephenites, he will be a player worth watching with long-range scoring a key attribute in his arsenal.
