Mayo LGFA star Sinead Walsh was an important part of the team during the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship this year.
The MacHale Rovers forward scored a whopping 3-28.
Walsh was instrumental for example in Mayo's relegation play-off win over Leitrim to secure senior status for 2026 after a difficult season.
Stripped of many players, the team managed by Liam McHale in his second year in charge of the Mayo LGFA senior team, struggled and was relegated from the National Football League Division 1.
McHale stepped down after the successful relegation showdown with Leitrim and the search for a new Mayo LGFA senior management is currently ongoing.
Mayo finished bottom of the table with only one win in seven matches to show for. The All-Ireland Championship was quickly ended with defeats at the hands of Kerry and Cork.
Last Sunday, the season was concluded with Dublin's victory over Meath in the final.
According to the 'Gaelic Statsman', Mayo sharpshooter Walsh ranks in fifth place of the topscorers list.
