Parke midfielder Jack McLoughlin played a crucial part in their win over Ballinrobe.
MAYO SENIOR LEAGUE DIVISION 1A
Parke 3-21
Ballinrobe 0-17
In Parke
THE home side had their shooters in fine form in Parke on Saturday evening when they hosted Ballinrobe.
Any day a side puts 3-21 on the scoreboard is a good day and the home side ran out comfortable winners in the end.
Both sides were missing a number of players and Parke started best with the midfield duo of Jack McLoughlin and Simon Cloherty key to their positivity.
Up front, the men in black and amber had Sean Corcoran, Sean Sweeney and Evan Walsh in scoring form as the deadly trio kicked a whopping 1-15 between them.
Ballinrobe’s Ewan Duffy showed his class throughout the hour with his impressive accurate free-taking.

Goals in the first half from McLoughlin and Cloherty had the West Mayo leading 2-11 to 0-9 at the break.
Parke went further clear when the impressive Sean Corcoran converted from the penalty spot early in the second half and last year’s Mayo Minor, Evan Walsh displayed his potential with some outstanding points.
Parke were winning the majority of individual battles and despite Ballinrobe's best efforts the home side kicked on and ran out convincing winners. In the dying stages Ballinrobe’s Evan O’Brien and Parke’s Jack McLoughlin both received red cards as they clashed in the heat of the moment.
Ballinrobe are now winless from four games while Parke have two wins from four.
