Mayo’s minor star Conor Hession has been rewarded for his stellar performance against Galway by being handed the Electric Ireland Minor Championships Player of the Week.

The fleet-footed Kiltimagh man put in a clinical and assured performance in Mayo’s Connacht Football Championship semi-final win against Galway, which saw him land the accolade.

Hession was on fire, notching 0-10 of his side's 3-15 tally, and Mayo fans will be hoping he brings his shooting boots to the party in MacHale Park for tonight’s Connacht decider against Roscommon, which throws in at 6.30 pm.
