Mayo’s bid to win Sunday’s Connacht Final against Galway has taken on added significance in the wake of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship draw today (Wednesday, April 30).
Kevin McStay’s men will be looking to avenge 2024’s exit at the hands of Derry in a penalty shootout, and now they know who they could potentially face depending on the result in the Connacht final.
Should Mayo win on Sunday, they’ll be placed in Group Four, alongside Donegal/Armagh, Dublin, and Derry.
If Mayo were to lose the Connacht Final, then they will find themselves in Group One, along with Donegal/Armagh, Tyrone, and Cavan.

Round One (Mayo/Galway v Dublin/Cavan) will be played on either the weekend of May 17/18 or May 24/25.
Round Two (Derry/Tyrone v Mayo/Galway) will be played on the weekend of May 31/June 1.
Round Three (Mayo/Galway v Donegal/Armagh) will be played on the weekend of June 14/15 at a neutral venue.
