Sunday brings with it a chance for the Mayo senior footballers to bounce back from getting over the first hurdle against Sligo when they make the journey to face Leitrim and hopefully book their place in the Nestor Cup decider.

Here, we’ll give you all the information on how to watch the semi-final, where to get tickets, and what to expect from the Leitrim side waiting in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Where and when is the game?

The Connacht Senior Football Championship semi-final between Leitrim and Mayo will take place in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, Carrick-On-Shannon, on Saturday, April 19, at 4.30 pm

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets for the game are available from Ticketmaster by clicking here. Tickets are only available for the terrace, at the price of €20.

Is the game on TV?

The game will be available to watch for €12 on GAA+, and can be accessed by clicking on this link.

What happened in the last game?

Played in front of between 2,000 and 3,000 in MacHale Park during long-forgotten Covid-19 restrictions, Mayo powered their way to a 5-20 to 0-11 win over their Leitrim counterparts on July 11, 2021, at the same stage of the competition.

What do Leitrim bring to the table?

Truth be told, it’s hard to point out a single positive from Saturday’s opponents. They suffered the ignominy of not fielding for a League game against Fermnagh as they were relegated to the basement of League football without so much as a whimper.

Paul Honeyman and Tom Prior are their joint-top scorers in 2025, but the fact they couldn’t even get to double figures in points is telling.

They’ll be looking to turn the tide when the Green and Red come to town, but don’t put your house on it.

Who is refereeing the game?

Fermanagh man Niall Cullen will be making the jaunt from Belleek to Carrick-On-Shannon for this one. The Erne Gaels clubman and native of Ballyshannon, County Donegal, has been in the middle for many games, including the 2022 All-Ireland minor final between Galway and Mayo.
