THE battle lines for the 2025 Mayo GAA senior, intermediate and junior club championships will be drawn tonight (Wednesday) when the groups for all three adult club championships are decided.
The draw, which takes place at 8.30 pm, will see the four groups of four drawn for the senior and intermediate championship.
Last year’s semi-finalists, Breaffy, Knockmore, Ballina Stephenites, and Ballaghaderreen, will avoid each other as first seeds. The second seeds are made up of the quarter-finalists, while the third seeds are the teams that finished third in their championship group last year. The fourth seeds include the teams that finished bottom of their group (Charlestown, Belmullet, and Mayo Gaels) and the newly promoted Crossmolina Deel Rovers.
The junior championship will consist of two groups of five and one group of four, with three teams progressing to the quarter-finals from the five-team groups and two qualifying from the four-team group.
The junior championship will begin on the first weekend in August, while the senior and intermediate championships will begin the following week.
