Former All-Ireland winning Derry footballer joins Knockmore GAA club as head coach and selector

Joe Brolly hired by top Mayo GAA club for new season

Joe Brolly was an All-Ireland winner with Derry back in 1993.

The Mayo News can confirm, that Joe Brolly has joined the Knockmore GAA management team for the new season. He will now form part of Knockmore's backroom staff under manager Ray Dempsey as head coach and selector.

The All-Ireland winning footballer Brolly will also work alongside former Sligo player Dessie Sloyan. 

Knockmore reached the final in last year's Mayo Senior Championship and were well beaten by Ballina Stephenites. Afterwards joint managers Aidan Kilcoyne and John Brogan stepped down from their roles. 

Dempsey returns to the helm more than three years after he guided his native club to their second consecutive county title.

Other members of the Knockmore management team are: Andrew Keane (Selector), Ger Lovett (Activation coach and rehab support), and former Ballina basketball coach Terry Kennedy (Movement coach).
