Louisburgh man leads Dublin club to All-Ireland title

DUBLIN champions Cuala secured their first All-Ireland club title in dramatic circumstances in Croke Park today and the master-mind behind their success was Louisburgh's Austin O'Malley. The former Mayo and Wicklow inter-county attacker helped the Dalkey club break numerous barriers on a record-breaking season which saw them winning their first Dublin and Leinster titles before defeating Tyrone and Ulster champions, Errigal Ciaran in the All-Ireland final.

"They're such a special group, it's such a special day and it's monumental to win here today," he added after the men in red held off a fast-finishing Errigal team who were a long way adrift at half-time after their captain Daire Canavan left the field injured early in the game."
