Mayo organic farmer Sinéad Moran will be part of an expert panel which will take part in a live European Parliament elections event to take place in Galway.
The Journal live event hosted by journalist Ella Mc Sweeney will bring an expert panel to the Dean Hotel, Galway City on Thursday, May 23 to discuss a number of important issues affecting the west of Ireland ahead of June's European Elections.
The free event is organised by The Journal, an online newspaper, who are looking forward to welcoming people of Galway, Mayo and the west of Ireland to the Dean Hotel for an evening of robust conversation on these important and impactful topics which steer our daily lives. This is all part of The Journal's series of live events looking at key issues impacting voters in the European Parliament 2024 elections.
The high profile panel includes leading Aghamore-based organic micro dairy farmer, Sinéad Moran along with University of Galway Lecturer on Energy Systems Engineering, Dr Rory Monaghan, sustainable fashion advocate, TV presenter and writer, Fionnuala Jones, and the Journal’s climate and environmental reporter Lauren Boland.
The expert panel will be addressing key questions on how the EU impacts on how we tackle the challenges around climate change, food security, energy and our day-to-day life, this promises to be an inspiring event which will both pose and address questions of EU Parliament voters in Galway and the west of Ireland. Everyone is invited to join the discussion and conversation on these hugely important topics ahead of next month’s European Elections.
Broadcaster and journalist Ella McSweeney will host the event where the panel will talk about the issues involved and answer audience questions on what they need to know about how the EU impacts on our lives and how we tackle the challenges around climate change, food security, energy and our day-to-day life.
Doors open at 6.15pm with buffet and refreshments in The Blue Room, The Dean Hotel.
