Tiernaur and Newport again in mourning after death of Patrick McHale

Funeral to take place this evening and tomorrow of man who lost his brother Frank suddenly on St Stephen's Day

The death has occurred of Tiernaur man, Patrick McHale.

Patrick passed away peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, on Tuesday, March 19.

Predeceased by his son David, who died in a tragic road accident three years ago, parents Frank and Masie, and recently deceased brother Frank, who passed suddenly last December. A huge local fundraising campaign has taken place to help support Frank's wife and their five children. 

A native of Newfield, Tiernaur, Patrick is deeply regretted by his son’s Frank, Padraig, and Sean, daughters Cathrina, and Aoife, sister Mary and partner Malcom, sister-in-law Maria, uncle Patrick Sweeney, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Patrick will repose at Grealis’s Funeral Home, Mulranny, this evening, Thursday, from 6pm with removal at 8pm to St Brendan’s Church, Tiernaur.

Requiem Mass will take place tomorrow, at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Killeen Cemetery. 

The mass will be live-streamed on the Burrishoole Parish Facebook page.
