Mayo author, Leanne Boyle, has written a new children’s book called ‘A Dog’s Best Friend’.
Drawing inspiration from her own dog, Maya, ‘A Dog's Best Friend’ is her debut illustrated children's book, marking the beginning of her journey as an author. The Claremorris native is a qualified Early Years Educator with over 7 years of experience working with children from 4 months to 12 years old. Her lifelong passion for storytelling and her love of nurturing young minds came together in 2023, when she began writing short stories for children.
The children’s book tells a story of Max the dog, who wants to cheer up his best friend: a little girl who is finding it hard to make friends with other children in school. He is on a mission to find something that can bring a smile back to the little girl’s face. When Max strays too far from home, his search leads him to stumble upon a forest full of twinkling magic and enchanting creatures. A Dog’s Best Friend is Leanne Boyle’s first published book.
