Westport, Claremorris and Swinford-Killasser will all set off on their Connacht LGFA Senior, Intermediate, and Junior Club Championship journeys. Pics: Conor McKeown
As the Mayo Club Championship season is boxed up and put away for 2025, the three clubs to have climbed the 32 steps in MacHale Park and hoisted silverware aloft will soon be setting off on the next steps of their thrilling adventure.
The euphoria of lifting county silverware is incredulous, but it also buys clubs a pass to set off flying the Green and Red flag on the provincial stage.
Here, we'll bring you up to speed with the details of who Swinford-Killasser, Claremorris, and Westport will face in the Connacht Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Championships, respectively.
First up is the Junior champions, Swinford-Killasser.
On Saturday at 1 pm, the black and white will welcome Leitrim opposition when Annaduff make the journey South to Swinford Amenity Park.
Annaduff, much like their Saturday contemporaries, bounced back from relegation by narrowly winning a keenly contested final over Keeldra Gaels last weekend.
Claremorris will also face the Leitrim champions, but will have to travel to lovely Leitrim to get their provincial campaign underway.
On Sunday at 1 pm, Drumkeerin will provide the opposition.
Again, there are parallels here. Drumkeerin punched their ticket to senior fare for the first time over the weekend with a barnstorming win over Dromahair.
Lastly, there's the senior champs, Westport.
They'll have to wait until Sunday, November 2, to welcome the might of Kilkerrin-Clonbeirne to their home patch.
The Galway queens will take some stopping, and have shown themselves to be the best in the land in recent campaigns.
