An Garda Síóchána stand down information appeal on missing Mayo man

An Garda Síochána were seeking information on the whereabout of Claremorris native Oisín Heffernan.

An Garda Síochána in Mayo have stood down their missing person appeal for a Claremorris man after he was located safe and well over the weekend.

On Friday, September 12, Gardaí issued an appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of 24-year-old Oisín Heffernan.

Oisín went missing on Tuesday, September 9, and there were beliefs that he may have travelled to Dublin.

Later on Friday, Gardaí also released a statement that he had been located safe and well.

An Garda Síochána also thanked the media, as well as the public, for their assistance in the case.
