National fuel protest to take place in Mayo town tomorrow morning

Castlebar has been confirmed as the main Mayo meeting point for a national fuel protest, with convoys feeding in from all surrounding towns.

Circle K Express at the Moneen Roundabout in Castlebar is the main Mayo gathering point. Organisers have said to meet at 8am, move off at 8.30am and arrive at Castlebar town centre at 9am.
Feeders convoys have also been organised as follows: Westport/Newport side – Meet at 7.45am; Ballinrobe/Partry side – Meet at 7.45am; Claremorris side – Meet at 7.45am; Foxford/Swinford side – Meet at 7.45 am; Ballyhaunis/Knock side – join Claremorris convoy, meet 7.30a, to 7.45am.

The final destination is Castle Street/Mill Lane/town centre parking areas. Vehicles can park up for the day while supporters gather around The Mall and Main Street. Please obey marshals, keep lane discipline, and keep emergency access routes clear at all times.
