The INMO Trolley Watch figures show the Mayo hospital now has the 7th highest number of patients waiting for beds in the country

INMO trolley watch figures have recorded a significant increase in figures over the past weekend at Mayo University Hospital. 

Today, (Monday, January 5), sees a total of 29 patients waiting for beds at MUH, which is an increase of twenty from the last recorded figures on (Friday, January 2). 

Of the 29 patients, 13 are awaiting a bed in the emergency department, while a further 16 are in wards elsewhere. 

From the INMO Trolley Watch figures, Mayo now has the 7th highest number of patients waiting for beds in the country.

In 2025, a total of 1,519 patients were recorded, leaving Mayo in 16th place out of the 32 hospitals nationwide.
