Mayo choir group set to host charity Christmas concert

BellaCapella, the female voice choir based in Castlebar, are set to host a fundraising concert on Saturday, December 6 at 7.30 pm. ‘A Song for Winter’ is set to take place in Christchurch Castlebar and will raise funds for AIRC, supporting children with additional needs as well as Mayo Autism Camp.

The concert will present a program of carols and contemporary pieces, directed by Sarah Lawrence. The group will be joined on the night by Castlebar Primary School Choir, directed by Catherine O’Driscoll, Nicole Scott and The Clarion String Quartet. 

The charities benefiting from the fundraising concert are AIRC and Mayo Autism Camp.

AIRC is a voluntary Non-Profit organisation and relies on donations and fundraising. Fundraisers like this concert, ‘A Song for Winter’ is of huge importance to AIRC as they will help to deliver inclusive activities such as swimming, summer camps and sensory cinema outings.

Mayo Autism Camp provides socially inclusive activities for autistic children, teenagers and their families. 

To help fundraising efforts, there will be a raffle on the night. Tickets for the ‘A Song for Winter’ can be purchased on eventbrite.ie.
