Mayo County Council are currently hiring for a Director of Services

Those interested in applying for the role of Director of Services in Mayo County Council have 24 hours to submit their interest, with the deadline of tomorrow afternoon fast approaching.

In the wake of the retirement of John Condon, who oversaw elections, water services, and the Castlebar Municipal District and held multiple roles in the Council over the course of the last 41 years, there is a vacant role which needs to be filled.

Now, the Council are advertising for a Director of Services on Indeed, with the closing date for applications Thursday, November 27, at 3 pm.

The role will see the successful candidate earn between €113,059 and €133,164 per year.

The roles which the new Director of Services will fulfil are varied, including responsibility for at least one Municipal District, and managing multidisciplinary teams and budgets.

The requirements listed in the information booklet include 'a satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation in Ireland', 'satisfactory management experience at a high level in any discipline in a multidisciplined organisation', and 'high levels of honesty and integrity and a focus on operating in an impartial and transparent manner to deliver the best possible services to the citizen'.
