Virgin Media’s Ireland AM broadcast live from Castlebar on Tuesday to support the launch of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation’s new Sunflower Children’s Hospice. The show featured interviews with CEO Martina Jennings, bereaved parent Chuck Dunford, and Mayo GAA figures Andy Moran and Aidan O’Shea, along with musical and dance performances.
The hospice will be the first children’s facility of its kind outside Dublin, serving eight western counties.
The Foundation aims to raise €7 million over the next year toward the €12–€14 million project, with construction planned for 2026 on a site already secured in Castlebar.
