The Knockthomas native leaves behind her husband, Rick, and her children, Ricky and Tyler.
In the wake of her passing, fundraising efforts immediately began to help bring Yvonne back to Ireland.
Her friends on the other side of the Atlantic wrote fondly of her, describing her as 'one of a kind'.
The GoFundMe fundraiser started yesterday (Sunday, October 5), with the goal of rasing $28,000 (€24,000). Incredibly, within 18 hours of the first donation, they have already reached $20,500 (€17,500) at the time of writing.
