The works in the Mayo county town are set to take place over the next two weeks, with commuters told to anticipate delays
Night-time roadworks in Castlebar are expected to cause delays to commuters in the coming weeks, according to Mayo County Council.
In a statement, the Council confirmed that the works, which started yesterday (Monday, September 15), would last until Monday, September 29 in the county town.

The works are taking place on Spencer Street, outside Room for a Rug.
The Council have advised road users in the area to use alternative routes where possible, while also wishing to inform that emergency vehicles will be accommodated, where possible.
