There were scenes of celebration at St Gerald’s DLS College, Castlebar today as the Leaving Certificate Class of 2025 received their long-awaited results.

Despite a year marked by grade deflation nationally, St Gerald’s students performed exceptionally well, with 35% of the cohort achieving over 500 points.

School Principal Shaun Burke expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments, praising both their resilience and dedication. “We are extremely proud of all our students. Their results are a testament to their hard work and the commitment of their teachers, ancillary staff, our SNA team, and their parents who have supported them throughout their school journey,” he said.

Students now look ahead to the next chapter in their lives, with many hoping to take up college offers and apprenticeships in the coming weeks.

The school community extended warm congratulations to every member of the Class of 2025 and wished them success in the future.
