It can take 2-3 hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network
Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in the Moneen area of Castlebar this afternoon. This follows the completion of repairs to a burst which had impacted supply this morning.
Customers along the northern side of the Moneen Road, including the N5 Business Park, Cedar House, Roadstone and the Castlebar Primary Care Centre should have their supply restored this afternoon.
It can take 2-3 hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network. Customers are being asked to be mindful of their water usage to allow supply to catch up with demand.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill said: “We understand the inconvenience when a large burst of this nature occurs, and our crews worked as quickly as they could to remedy this unplanned outage. We thank customers for their understanding.”
