Road resurfacing works are listed as the reason for the closure, with local diversions in place

A Mayo mountain road is set for closure over the course of the next three days.

From today (Tuesday, July 15) to Thursday, July 17, a circa 1.8-kilometre stretch of the L5631 road between Tourmakeady and Croaghrimbeg will undergo road surfacing works.

The road winds between the Partry Mountains, six kilometres from Lough Mask. Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works. However, delays are anticipated.

Local diversions are in place, with emergency vehicles to be accommodated.
