Author and playwright Mick Donnellan is to stage his new play ‘Outlaw Pete’ in the Linenhall Arts centre in Castlebar Pic: Liz King
A critically-acclaimed play penned by a Ballinrobe playwright is heading to the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar.
After a sold-out run at the Town Hall Studio in Galway, the widely-praised ‘Outlaw Pete’ will be staged in the venue on Wednesday, May 22.
With a plot rooted in Ballinrobe, Outlaw Pete promises a ‘darkly comic, emotionally rich tale that promises to resonate even more deeply with local theatre-goers’.
It is the latest play from Ballinrobe playwright Mick Donnellan, whose most popular works include Sunday Morning Coming Down, Tiger Raid, and Galway Blues.
The plot sees three complex characters, Pete, Jane and Dave collide. As tensions mount, Jane begins to question everything, revealing that Dave may not be the perfect husband he seems.
The upcoming performance of ‘Outlaw Pete’ in the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Wednesday, May 22, stars Laura Hutchinson, Brian Cahill, and Carl Jones. The play is restricted to over 18s due to strong language and triggering content.
