Castlebar take-away Danolla's pictured at the Irish Take-Away Awards 2025
It’s official: Mayo takeaway Danolla’s can lay claim to the best chicken burger in Ireland.
The Castlebar outfit, which is located on Castle Street, landed the accolade at the Irish Takeaway Awards in Ireland.

In a statement, the company expressed their gratitude to those who helped them win big.
“This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without you, our amazing community,” they stated. “Thank you for being part of our journey.”
The awards ceremony took place in Sligo on Tuesday and was amongst multiple Mayo outlets who received rave reviews.
Creel Deli in Westport won Connacht Café of the Year, the Port Chipper won Fish and Chips of the Year in the province and won the Highly Commended award, while Urban Gruel in Westport won the Connacht award in Burger of the Year, Fish Dish of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year.
Good Grazing in Louisburgh also scooped Connacht Local Takeaway of the Year.
